This Middle School Softball Program is an independent program run in partnership between youth softball leagues in Loudoun County. The teams will share the name and colors of the associated Middle Schools, but LCPS does not have a role in the program. Players wishing to participate in the program will tryout for the team associated with their Middle School. If a player attends private school, is home schooled, or otherwise does not attend an LCPS Middle School, that player will tryout for the school they would normally attend based on school district boundaries.
The Middle School Softball Program provides interested players an opportunity to play a more competitive level of softball than house league, but without the full commitment of a travel softball program. Players in the Middle School Program are excpected to be highly motivated to play, have extensive playing experience and must be simultaneously registered to play in either a house or travel team.
As a representatives of their school, players in the Middle School Program will have the opportunity to enhance their school spirit, develop camaraderie, encourage teamwork, and to further develop their softball skills while developing relationships with the girls they will play with in high school.
